There is almost no difference in heart rate between Apple Watch and chest strap. Of course, compared to chest strap heart rate monitors, it takes a few seconds longer to react to sudden heart rate changes, but it’s still quite useful. If you want to exercise while checking heart rate changes instantly, I recommend going with a chest strap and checking moderately.
